All women need something shiny and sparkly to wear over the holidays, but this year, metallics get a little more sultry and modern. To balance out the winter florals and antique lace shown on the runways, accessories are finished with a tarnished sheen and futuristic design element that keep the look fresh and new. Contrast a soft look with a heavy-metal rocker chain or balance off a strong silhouette with a softer, feminine clutch.

Try pairing layers of heavy chain over a mini black dress like Givenchy.

Top it off with subdued gold, constricting platforms.

Lanvin creates a shine with outrageously oversized jewels, metals and ribbon necklaces adding a sweetness to his strong collection.

Burberry rocks the house with dangerously lethal metal cuffs and leather sequin feather clutches.

Marni flashes bronze handbags with a multi-color block collection.

Philip Lim adds a little shine with silver and black trimmed heels and tarnished gold and leather cuffs.

A delicate woven metal evening clutch decorated the monochromatic looks at Bottega Veneta.

Whether its gold, silver, bronze or copper this seasons heavy-metal accessories will spice up any princess' closet. But be sure to avoid getting on a scale when wearing more than one piece!
